This painting was made with paint that had dripped off of my outside painting table, many times over several weeks, onto the ground and dried. The many different colors running together seemed to cry out to me that they still had value even though they had fallen on the ground and this painting is the result. I picked up the dried puddles of paint and broke them into small pieces, washed off the lose dirt and arranged them on the canvas in the wet paint that I had just applied. After I spread the wet paint out from the edges I went back and dribbled more paint onto each piece to bring out the color and to secure them to the canvas. This is the most unique 3D painting/sculpture I have ever created. I let the paint run over edges to give the piece more character and to make this abstract painting more unique. After many days and hours that dirty old paint had new life. New life is exciting in any form when it comes from the unexpected.
